Miro Tool & Mfg. designs and manufactures progressive, transfer, form, draw, compound and blank dies. Our tooling has produced stampings made of various steels, including stainless and HSLA, as well as aluminum, brass, copper and miscellaneous other materials. Stampings produced by our tooling have been used in the aerospace, automotive, automotive safety, electronics, heavy truck, hybrid battery technology and lawn and garden industries.
Our in-house engineering and design department remains involved with your tooling project from concept to fully detailed design. All designs are updated after tool manufacturing is complete. These as-built designs are shared with our customers plus kept on file at Miro Tool for future engineering changes and replacement components. We will manufacture tooling to your specifications regardless of how simple or complex they are. However, you can rely on us to offer suggestions based on our knowledge and experience that will either improve the integrity of the tool and/or reduce the cost of the tool.
Miro Tool has experience with in-die tapping and in-die hardware (nuts, studs, etc.) installation which can eliminate secondary operations thus reducing your production costs. We can install complete sensor systems to allow you safer and more productive operations. Your tooling will be tried out at Miro Tool with your sensor system functioning. If you desire, we can provide your punches, form details, etc. coated to your specifications for longer tool life.
We maintain current technology in wire EDM and CNC machining so we can provide speed, efficiency and accuracy in the manufacturing of your tooling. Our people, equipment and technology support our ability to be a full service tooling vendor.
Miro Tool offers prototyping services utilizing our laser machine and brake or stamping presses. Once the tool build is in progress we can furnish you with pre-production laser cut die formed parts in any quantity you may require.
All tooling is tried out in one of our on site presses to ensure that you receive production-ready tooling. Our presses range in tonnage from 35 to 1,000. Our 1,000 ton press has a bed size of 60” x 144” and is outfitted with a 48” coil feed system.
Our Quality Department can furnish you with full part layouts and capability studies to prove part quality and consistency. We also design and manufacture check fixtures to assist with in-process inspection.
